Brian Left

Brian left for training prior to deployment this morning. He will get a 1 1/2 day break in a few weeks to come home, and if we are lucky he will make it for the birth of his daughter, we will see. The picture is one Tristan took of Dad and I right before he left. We all got up early to see him off. This separation isn't going to be very long right now, as he is coming back for a short visit, but the absence of his presence is already felt. We are doing fine right now and I am sure we will be fine when he leaves for the long (18 months they tell us) deployment, but when they have the farewell ceremony I am sure it will be a bit more difficult than today. I am just very happy that it is VERY likely he will get to see, hold and love on baby girl before he goes, as I was not always sure he would get to. Well, I am off to get the kiddos moving for school. Thanks for stopping by!

I want to cry for you guys! I really hope that he'll be able to come home for the birth of his little girl or at the very least, get to hold her before he leaves. A friend of ours left just before Thanksgiving. This is the first time his 9 year old daughter has had to deal with him being gone.

Tristan is quite the photographer!
